Proud sponsor of the 2008 NY Stallion Service Auction

Please join us for the TWENTIETH Anniversary of the NY Morgan Stallion Service Auction on February 2, 2008.

During this evening, the services of 42 of the finest Morgan stallions will be auctioned to the highest bidders, subject to a minimum bid of $700. These services are donated by the stallion owners.

All of the proceeds of this auction, after deductions to cover the expenses, will be applied as prize money for the special NY Morgan Stallion Auction Sweepstakes at the NY Regional Championship Horse Show. This will result in the 100% payback of all funds. The 2008 NY Morgan Stallion Service Auction will operate as follows:

One fourth of the net proceeds of the 2008 Auction will be applied to one weanling class (Colts & Fillies) to be held at the 2009 NY Morgan Regional Championship Horse Show. Those horses eligible for this class will ALL be weanling offspring of those stallions auctioned in 2008 if the stallion secures at least a paid in full minimum bid.

The remainder of the net proceeds of the 2008 Auction will be applied to two “sweepstakes” classes at the 2013 NY Morgan Regional Championship Horse Show. These classes will be a 4 year old Park/English Pleasure Class, a 4 year old Hunter/Western/Sport Horse Pleasure Class. This distribution is subject to change. Horses eligible for these classes will be ALL 4 year olds of those stallions auctioned in 2008, if the stallion secured at least a paid in full minimum bid.

Prize money will be distributed from 1st through 8th place in each class. If all classes do not fill, prize money will be apportioned between two saddle classes in such a way that all placings in each division pay equally.

IF YOU ARE CONSIDERING THE POSSIBILITIES OF BREEDING YOUR MARE IN 2008, PAST PARTICIPANTS WILL CONFIRM THAT YOU CANNOT AFFORD TO MISS THIS EVENT

PLEASE BE SURE TO READ THE TERMS & CONDITIONS LISTED BELOW

PLEASE NOTE NEW FORMAT THERE IS ONLY ONE ROUNDS IN THE AUCTION!

They are subject to the specific breeding terms as outlined in the stallion owner’s breeding contract. THE TERMS IN THE BREEDING CONTRACT SUPERSEDE ANY TERMS FOUND IN THIS PROGRAM.

2. The New York Stallion Service Auction is committed to promoting the Morgan Horse Breed and supporting its members by making available to qualified bidders, Morgan stallions whose owners have agreed to donate a breeding to the NYSSA for the prevailing winning bid.  Details, photographs, and related documents, etc., (as provided by stallion owners or their agents) are made available for bidder inspection prior to and at the auction event.  The NYSSA expressly recommends and cautions potential bidders to review all available information prior to the bidding process.  The NYSSA makes every effort to ensure accuracy in its offerings, but cannot and will not substantiate the details or condition of stallions offered.  In the event of changes, errors, and/or omissions to the printed catalog, the auctioneer will make appropriate announcement prior to the opening of the bidding process at the auction event.  Breeding contracts (to cover such items as collection fees, shipping fees, and attendant arrangements) as supplied by stallion owners are provided to the successful bidder for execution and completion of the auction event process.  All subsequent arrangements and undertakings are between stallion owner and successful bidder ONLY.  The NYSSA is an avenue for the purchase of stallion service, and shall not be held liable for any breach of contract, dispute, or other dissatisfaction.  All sales are final.
