First an In Hand World Champion, Tanqueray is the 2009 Open Western Pleasure Reserve World Champion with Ashley Morris, our daughter. Memories of 2009 include the enjoyment of watching our daughter, Ashley prepare and present Tanqueray from his home in Vermont to Amateur Championships wins at Maine and Granite State, as weel as Open and Amateur Championships at The Jubliee Regional and Reserve World Championships at The Morgan Grand National and World Championshiop show in Oklahoma City.
We thank his many fans who voted him 2008 Horse Worlds People Choice Champion, Overall Western Pleasure Horse, Amateur Western Pleasure Stallion, and Overall Western Pleasure Horse and Western Pleasure Stallion of the Year. Another accolade added to his already impressive resume is the SHR's 2009 #1 Sire of Junior Western Pleasure Horses.
Equally enjoyable, was watching sons and daughters prove they are performance Champions, too. While a talented 4-year old New England daughter garnered Championships on the East Coast and a handsome son teamed with his young rider to bring home a New England Regional Junior Exhibitor Reserve Championship; a CA beauty was winning Championships on the West Coast. In the Mid-West a talented young 12-year old teamed up with her new partner, in a new division, to bring home a World Championshp in their first season together. Another tall, dark and handsome son wore the roses for a second consecutive year this time as the World Champion 4 Year Old Western Pleasure Championship. It makes us very proud that, under the guidance of several amateur riders and professional trainers, each and every one of Tanqueray's get who showed in 2009 was victorious as Reserve Champion, Champion, or World Champion.
